Anxiety

Empowering you to break free from the confines of fear.

Anxiety

Anxiety comes in many forms. Pesky worries, constant stress, agonizing panic, and specific phobias are ways anxiety can grip people. People can become irritable and depressed under the weight of anxiety. The toll of unresolved fears often leads a person down a path of isolation. These effects can lead to a loss in productivity, a strain on relationships, and unrealized potential.

Studies show that a moderate amount of stress can actually be helpful for us by increasing motivation and promoting creativity. However, excessive stress and anxiety have a paralyzing effect on a person. If anxiety has a debilitating effect on you, therapy can help.

What I appreciate about working with people who struggle with anxiety is that real improvements are achievable immediately. There are things within your control that you can do to decrease your anxiety and improve the way you feel. Research also shows that connecting with another person on a meaningful level can lower the stress that a person experiences. Therapy provides you with a safe outlet to speak freely about the concerns and fears you struggle with. You will be heard without judgment. You can share your story without criticism or shame. I will work with you to look at life experiences that may have shaped your fears. I teach applicable skills that help manage anxieties and stress. You will learn proven techniques that can help you live the life you want to live.
